HISTORY
Medal Royal is a masterpiece of premium wines in Chile. The perfect fusion between the new and old-world winemaking styles. Chile offers its soils, its climate, and its vineyards while the old world contributes with experience, elegance, and balance. Behind our wines there is our family, prominent in Chilean agriculture since 1700 and pioneers in grape growing and winemaking since 1930. We make an unbeatable team, bonded together by the strongest force of all, deep family roots. Our shared passion for winemaking and uncompromising search for excellence combine with a total commitment to our customers’ satisfaction.
Our winery is a long-established sustainable estate winery, fully owned and managed by our family. Today we successfully produce a range of unique and highly awarded wines to thousands of satisfied and loyal customers in Europe, Asia, and America.
WHERE WE ARE
Exceptional soils, ideal temperatures, intense sunlight, and pure melted snow water from the magnificent Andes mountains make Chile a ‘Winemaker’s Paradise in the New World’.
Medal Royal vineyards and winery are in two very prestigious areas in Chile, Curico Valley and Maipo Valley. Between the towering Andes mountains and the deep cool Pacific Ocean, these privileged viticultural zones, with its cold nights and warm dry days and long growth season, are ideally suited to produce healthy plants and grapes of all varieties, with outstanding fruit aromas and exceptional color concentration.
Working with a model of micro viticulture, each plot, no more than half a hectare, is identified according to its terroir and microclimate, and planted accordingly. Grapes are subject to specific pruning, irrigation, canopy management and harvesting, which result in grapes of optimum quality and flavor.
SUSTAINABILITY
A harmonious and respectful relationship with the environment has always been part of Medal Royal´s culture and we are proud to have been awarded Sustainability status by Wines of Chile.
Our responsible farming practices begin in the vineyard, where we use organic processes and biodegradable products, as well as flood irrigation, all the time encouraging the natural biodiversity of the land.
In the winery and offices, we also adhere to strict codes of environmental sustainability, reflected in our use of recyclable materials and packaging, and our commitment to solar energy.
From 2012 we are also certified in Food Safety and Quality Management System, complying with international ISO 9001 HACCP standards.

At Medal Royal, our winemaking mission is to use our long history of family expertise in viticulture and vinification to craft elegant, best-in-class wines which are expressive of our cherished landscape.
Our sustainable estate winery is the setting for our traditional and respectful viticulture approach, where mother nature along with precision viticulture allow our organically grown grapes to reach their maximum potential.
Classic French winemaking techniques, a firm nod to our French heritage, which we employ for our estate wines include the use of native yeasts during fermentation, lees aging, and barrel aging in French oak. We are also proud to craft some of Chile’s most complex artisanal wines, such as our Medal Royal Limited Edition range.
