Gloria Echeverría
Vice President
Gloria was born in Santiago, and from an early age she showed great interest in spirituality and social work. She was educated in a French school run by French nuns, so she is fluent in French, as well as English and her native Spanish.
Her love for children led her to obtain a degree at the University of Chile in pre school teaching. She complemented this education with courses and seminars in religion, as well as teaching children with learning disabilities. After she married Roberto, she worked as a pre school teacher both in Santiago and in Washington D.C.
Her strong affinity to Roberto has led her to play a very active role in the development of the current management structure and business culture of Viña Echeverría. Her natural congenial attitude has been key to maintaining a balance in board meetings and counseling all members of the Echeverría Family regarding business decisions and social responsibility.
She has always played an active role in the day to day winery operation, working in the processing plant and organizing the teams that in the beginning hand-labelled all our wines. She has participated actively in numerous travels and wine fairs, helping Roberto to open the world wide distribution channels for our wines. Her keen sense of smell and taste have also been a key asset in the creation and assembly of many of the Echeverria blends.
Gloria shares her day to day life with Roberto, communicates daily with her four children, who make up the senior staff of Viña Echeverría, and relates frequently with her grandchildren. She also enjoys photography, reading and being involved with the community in Molina.
