Certified Sustainable Wine of ChileAt Viña Echeverria, we are of the firm belief that a commitment to social responsibility is a pre-requisite for all successful businesses, and are proud to have been awarded Sustainable status by the Wines of Chile Organization.

To us, social responsibility means working in harmony with our environment: the earth and its people. We are devoted, as a company and as a family, to economic, environmental and social sustainability, and maintaining the highest standards in all aspects of our working and personal lives.

Viña Echeverría is Certified by ISO 9001-HACCP

We recognize the 3 pillars of Sustainability as defined by the World Summit for Social Development, which are:

People

The social aspect of sustainability focuses on balancing the needs of the individual with the needs of the group.

People: employees
We place great focus on the satisfaction and happiness of our employees, and offer regular opportunities for staff evaluation and training, as well as health benefits, such as subsidized eye tests. We organize and subsidize regular social events, including football and salsa dancing as highlights of our after-hours curriculum.

In our community, we are involved in a project to offer career guidance to teenagers in a local school, and have been delighted supporters of a drive to renovate Molina’s local train station.

Planet

Tractor and vineyards Environmental sustainability occurs when processes, systems and activities reduce the environmental impact of an organization’s facilities, products and operations.

Our responsible farming practices begin in the vineyard, where we use organic processes and biodegradable products, as well as flood irrigation, all the time encouraging the natural biodiversity of the land.

In the winery and offices we also adhere to strict codes of environmental sustainability, reflected in our use of recyclable materials and packaging, and our commitment to solar energy.

One of the key tenets of sustainability is recognizing that a profitable business is more likely to remain stable and continue to operate from one year to the next, which in turn is beneficial to the economic well-being of the community, in which we are proud to play a pivotal and collaborative part.
